Moth's Fiction and Fanfiction

      Hi!                                             

I'm Moth. The fluttery sort who can never decide where to land or stay. The one who wanders around in the darkness and is drawn to shiny, sparkly things. I write. Writing is an obsession. I have always written but until recently I didn't have time to concentrate on fiction. Now I do, and I have been persuaded to start a website.

YES, THERE ARE BUTTERFLIES FLUTTERING. They are only allowed onto the main pages so don't worry.

YES THERE ARE SOME BROKEN AND UNESTABLISHED LINKS.  They will be sorted out in due course but by all means contact me if they leave you very frustrated.

I have been writing stories of various kinds. Some are 'original' and some are 'fanfiction'. (For further information about this go here).

 I am hoping to publish some of my original work and cannot therefore display it here; publishers are understandably averse to submissions that are already in the public arena. When I have sorted out the password system I shall make my work accessible to my friends and beta group. Meanwhile, I shall tell you all about progress, or lack of it!

 I have also written poetry, book reviews and articles. The book reviews are intended to alert friends to good or bad books, and to invite discussion, rather than as academic reviews. 

 Later, there will be recipes, photographs and other assorted non-fiction.

Most of my original work is fantasy. One of my favourite themes is culture clash, in all its various guises. Much of my writing is GLBT (or, in the case of fanfiction, 'slash'). For further explanation, go here. Meanwhile, if you are homophobic, prudish, or under 18 I suggest you leave my site.

I have been lucky enough to meet a group of people online who work as a beta group, giving serious criticism and support to each other. I am grateful for their help; the remaining errors and flaws are mine! I have linked to their sites on my links page.
