Recipes used to be called receipts. My German friend still uses that term - I assume she got it from an old recipe book. And I suppose it's to do with being written on a slip of paper that passed from hand to hand... however, here we are on the internet!

In case anyone wonders, strawberries are not mentioned in these pages. I am highly allergic to them and get severe blisters if I ingest the tiniest quantity. But you probably aren't afflicted. You can decorate your plates with them, turn them into luscious desserts, etc. to your hearts' content. Just don't invite me to dinner!
